FAQ
Questions, answered plainly.
The things people ask most before trusting Helm with their bloodwork. If yours isn't here, email us.
- Is my data safe?
- Yes. Your health data is encrypted at rest, isolated to your account, and accessible only to you. We never sell it, never share it for advertising, and never use it to train AI models. You can export or permanently delete it at any time.
- Which labs and countries does Helm support?
- Helm is test-agnostic — it works with results from any lab, as a PDF or a photo, in whatever format your doctor already ordered. Helm currently serves the United States only, and we geoblock the EU and UK at launch.
- What if I only have one blood test?
- You can still use Helm. A single test gives you plain-language, cited explanations of what each marker means. Trends are where Helm shines, though — it asks for at least three tests so it can tell a real change apart from normal biological and measurement noise. The more tests you bring, the clearer the line.
- Is this a diagnosis?
- No. Helm is wellness education, not diagnosis, and it is not a medical device. It explains general ranges and trajectories; it does not hand down diagnostic verdicts. Your own lab's reference range and your clinician's interpretation always take precedence, and if a value may need prompt attention Helm tells you to see a clinician.
- What does it cost?
- Helm is free during open beta — no card, no checkout, no surprise paywall. Per-marker explanations stay free. Trends, the holistic outlook, and the doctor-ready report are the premium tier coming later, and we'll publish clear pricing before anything is ever chargeable.
- Can I delete my data?
- Yes, anytime. Deletion permanently removes your uploaded files and the analyses derived from them. Email us from the address on your account and we'll confirm it's done.
- How does Helm know it's right?
- Helm never emits an ungrounded medical claim. Every explanation is grounded in, and links back to, authoritative public sources such as NIH, MedlinePlus, USPSTF, the American Heart Association, the ADA, and Examine. Guidance is tagged with an evidence tier so you can see how strong the backing is. AI can still be wrong, so treat everything as unvalidated and talk to your doctor before acting.
- Can I take Helm's report to my doctor?
- Yes — that's the point of the doctor-ready report. It's a clean summary of your markers and their trends that you can hand to your physician to make your appointment more productive. It's a starting point for a conversation, not a substitute for one.
Important: Wellness education only — not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. AI-generated and may be wrong. Talk to your doctor before acting.
