1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Helm Health ("Helm," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use Helm. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.

2. What Helm is — wellness, not medical advice

Helm is an educational wellness tool that helps you understand the blood-test results you already have and how your markers change over time. Helm is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Content is generated with the help of AI and may be incomplete or incorrect. Reference ranges and any "optimal" bands are general and depend on your lab and assay; your own report's range and your clinician's judgment always take precedence. Treat all output as unvalidated information and consult a qualified clinician before acting on it.

3. No doctor–patient relationship

Using Helm does not create a doctor–patient relationship, and Helm does not provide medical advice or practice medicine. Nothing in Helm is a substitute for professional medical judgment. If Helm flags a value that may need prompt attention, contact a doctor or seek urgent care promptly. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload data you don't have the right to use, or data about anyone other than yourself without authorization.
• Use Helm to provide medical, diagnostic, or treatment services to others.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to Helm.
• Misrepresent Helm's output as a diagnosis or as professional medical advice.
• Use Helm in any way that violates applicable law.

5. Your content and data

You keep ownership of the files and health data you upload. You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to provide the service to you. We don't sell your health data, don't share it for advertising, and don't use it to train AI models. See the privacy promise for details. You can export or delete your data at any time.

6. Accounts and termination

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users and the service. On termination, your data is handled per the privacy promise, including deletion on request.

7. Beta service and availability

Helm is currently offered free during an open beta. Features may change, be limited, or be discontinued, and the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that output is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Helm and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any decision you make based on Helm's output. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months (which during the free beta is zero) or one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

9. United States only

Helm is intended for use in the United States only. We geoblock the EU and UK and do not offer the service where it would be unlawful. You're responsible for complying with the laws of your location.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll provide reasonable notice (for example, by posting the updated Terms here and updating the date). Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
